Melton students benefited from over $122,000 in State Schools Relief assistance in 2016

The Member for Melton, Don Nardella MLA has welcomed a report showing that Melton government school students received $122,753 in assistance for 867 student applications in 2016.  The funding was used to provide 2,952 items to these students.

The funding is part of the State Schools Relief Fund which first began in 1930.

Overall 39,000 students in Victoria were assisted last year with ‘practical and targeted’ assistance; helping low income families children to ensure they could attend school confident that they had a place within the school community. The funding assists students to focus on their studies and realise their maximum potential.
