Funding recognises young people in Melton and Moorabool

Local MP, Don Nardella MLA today announced that two local organisations has received a $2,000 grant to participate in National Youth Week celebrations.

The successful organisations were:

  • Melton City Council – Beatz on the Streetz, High Street, Melton
  • Moorabool Shire Council – AFL Youth Clinic, 182 Hallets Way, Darley

With the theme this year of ‘It Starts With Us’, National Youth Week is a celebration of young people. It will be held from 10 to 19 April.

The organisations are one of more than 90 councils, community organisations and schools across Victoria that have received funding this year, totalling more than $182,000.

Young people plan, manage and participate in National Youth Week events. Each event encourages participants to express their creativity, meet new people, volunteer and get their messages across.
